The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) National Coaching Program is the only soccer coach education program in the U.S. that is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education (NCACE.) The AYSO program has been reviewed in detail and has passed the very high standards of this important accrediting body. NCACE is a non-profit organization, established by sport leaders across the country. The Inaugural Meeting was held on July 14-16, 2000.
Coach Training: All coaches are required to be age specific certified to coach in AYSO. Each coach will need to take the Age appropreiate course as well as Safe Haven and the AYSO CDC Concussion Awareness Training. AYSO coach training courses can be accessed at http://www.aysotraining.org/. Your AYSO volunteer ID number is required to access these training courses.

Coach Training and Orientation Days: We will hold coach training for all coaches. All attending coaches can be U12 certified by the end of both sessions. ALL coaches are required to attend their age appropriate training unless you hold the appropriate age certification from previous trainings. Bags and roster will NOT be distributed on this day.
TBD – 8 AM – 12 PM – U5, U6, U8, U10, and U12 – Knoles Elementary School gym. U5, U6 and U8 coaches will be certified at the end of this session. U10 and U12 coaches will be certified at the end of the field session. We encourage all coaches to attend the field session on from 12 PM – 2 PM at Foxglenn Park. The field session is required for all U10 and U12 coaches.

TBD – Coach Bag and Roster distribution – 5 PM-8 PM Knoles school – We will distribute the coach bags and rosters at this time. You will be able to select your practice fields and time at this time as well. All training and certifications must be complete prior to receiving your roster and bag.
Coach Bag and Roster Distribution: Coach bags and rosters will be distributed at Knoles Elementary School on the dates below. All coaches will need to have the appropriate certifications and trainings completed before receiving their bags and rosters. You will meet with your division coordinators and the rest of the board staff at this time. We will have a hard copy of your volunteer form to sign. Please bring a government issue photo ID to this event.

Team Information: Coaches may view their team roster and games schedules on June 6, 2016. All rosters prior to this date are subject to change.
Volunteer Application: You will need to complete a new application prior to coaching. This is for all new and returning volunteers. Go to www.eAYSO.org to complete this process.
Certification: AYSO has online courses for Safe Haven, AYSO CDC Concussion Awareness, U6 Coach, U8 Coach, & U10 Coach. U10 does require a field session to complete the course. You will need your AYSO national coach number that you get after the AYSO Volunteer Application that is required every year. All volunteers are required to have Safe Haven and AYSO CDC Concussion Awareness training. Coaches, referees, board members and general regional volunteers will have additional job specific training.
